Welcome to Dan River Baptist Church

Hello,

I am John Campbell. I have been the Pastor at Dan River since September 2022. It was truly a call from God that led me here. I am excited about the future of our church and the impact it can have in Halifax County. I hope you will visit our church and I look forward to meeting you.

 I have been married to Barbara Kiger Campbell since May 1988. We have two daughters Kelsey and Madelynn. We are also blessed with three grandchildren. By moving to Halifax, I am now in the same community as my mom, sister, and one of my nieces.

 I graduated from The College of William and Mary in Virginia with an accounting degree. I was a CPA and worked in hospital finance until God called me into ministry in my mid-thirties. I went to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary for my MDiv and Luther Rice University for my DMin. I have taught online for Liberty University since Fall 2006. I have also taught online and on campus for Carolina College of Biblical Studies since 2015.

My favorite hobbies are playing golf and watching sports on television. Thank you for visiting our website and I hope to see you soon.
