Hello everyone,
I am excited to celebrate my first Easter at Dan River Baptist Church. This is a fun time at the church with the Easter Egg Hunt and the Sunrise Service. We will celebrate communion as a church family on Easter morning. Most importantly, Easter is the time set aside to remember the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ in a special way. They can be considered the most important events in history for the salvation of believers. All of Scripture hinges on this event and the impact of it. It is prophesied about in both testaments of the Bible. Jesus’ return is to gather those who believe in these events and surrender their lives to Him.
I hope you have enjoyed our walk through the Passion of Jesus using the gospel of John. It has a lot of depth and meaning under the surface. After Easter we will continue through the end of John.
On Wednesday nights in April, we will finish the January Bible Study on Ephesians, have our quarterly business meeting, and return to our verse by verse study of Acts. Each of these have their own importance and I hope you are looking forward to joining us.
Be in prayer for our Easter Egg Hunt. That God will use the event to draw families to our church and that the children will be impacted by the Gospel message. Prayer is important for any event we do at the church.
Blessings,
Dr. John Campbell
